A major fire broke out at Jorabat area along the Assam Meghalaya border in the morning hours of September 1^st, 2019.

As per initial reports, the fire first broke out at a grocery store and spreaded to the nearby shops damaging property worth crores.

Firefighters from both Assam and Meghalya have reached the spot to douse the flames.

No casualties have been reported till the filing of this news.
