Shillong, October 9: A Congress legislator from Meghalaya died at a Delhi hospital on Monday after suffering a cardiac arrest.
Clement Marak (58), who represented Selsella in Meghalaya, died at 8:15 pm. He is survived by his wife and two children.

As per reports, Clement was in Delhi for some work.
“Deeply sadden to hear the demise of Clement Marak, sitting MLA from Selsella Constituency #Meghalaya. I offer my condolence to his family, relatives and loved ones. May his soul rest in peace (sic),” tweeted Conrad Sangma, Meghalaya Chief Minister.
Assembly Speaker Donkupar Roy said, ” His (Clement) services would be remembered. He was a dependable friend, and a trustworthy comrade.”
