    Meghalaya government decides to go ahead with class 12 exams amid COVID-19

    The deputy chief minister on Wednesday informed that the final exam of MBoSE for class 12 would be from April 16.

    Guwahati: The state government of Meghalaya decided to go ahead with class 10 Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBoSE) exams as planned. The decision was taken after a review meeting chaired by Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma.

    Sangma took Twitter to inform and wrote, “Reviewed the #COVID19 situation in the State. Govt. has decided that the MBOSE exams for Class XII will be held as scheduled. Health Dept. has been instructed to intensify efforts to execute the vaccination drive & also increase the number of vaccination centres.”

    The review meeting was held following the rise of COVID-19 cases in the state.

    Reportedly, the deputy chief minister on Wednesday informed that the final exam of MBoSE for class 12 would be from April 16. The government has decided that exams would go on as planned by Education Department, he said.

    He added that the Meghalaya Class 12 students would have to appear for the exams. He urged students and parents not to feel disheartened or fear since the government would take preventive measures to avoid the virus’ spread.
