Guwahati: Meghalaya held an all faith special prayer on Sunday to plead with God for his divine protection against the ongoing COVID-19 scourge.
Inviting people to join the prayer, Meghalaya chief minister Conrad Sangma tweeted, “I invite you to join us in a ‘Special Program of Prayer’ as we come together to Pray for Meghalaya, India & the World. The programme will be broadcast LIVE on my Facebook page today.”

Meghalaya has 8,025 active cases and a cumulative total of 33,835 confirmed cases. The state has also registered 544 deaths till now.
The most cases were recorded from East Khasi Hills district which have been under total lockdown for nearly four weeks.
