An FIR has been lodged with the Lakhimpur Sadar police for allegedly forcing a midday meal worker to cook beef on February 25th, 2020.

The sensational incident took place at 1 No Diju Pothar lower Primary School in Assam’s Lakhimpur district following a scuffle over the food with the Head Master of the school.

Speaking to the media persons, the midday meal worker, said, “The headmaster Lutfur Rahman asked me to cook beef when we asked him to supply vegetables for the mid-day meal.”

The victim was allegedly thrashed by one of the members of the Managing Committee of the school. “I was beaten severely by one of the members of the managing committee of the school,” she added.

The victim was admitted to a nearby hospital for medical assistance.
