    Mild earthquake of 5.2 magnitude hits Northeast India

    The epicenter of the quake was in Champhai district of Mizoram. The tremor hit around at 2.20 pm this afternoon.

    Guwahati: An earthquake measuring 5.2 magnitude on the Richter scale hit the northeastern states of India on Saturday afternoon.

    The epicenter of the quake was in Champhai district of Mizoram. The tremor hit around at 2.20 pm this afternoon, according to National Centre of Seismology.

    So far no casualty has been reported as a result of the quake.
