Minor Escapes Death In Firing By Unidentified Miscreants in Hojai

A student of Class IX has sustained injuries in firing by a group of four unidentified miscreants in the afternoon of April 17th, 2019 at Nakhuti’s Sarthegaon in Assam’s Hojai district. The student has been identified as Kalim Uddin.

As per information, Kalim was taking back the cattle from field to home when the incident took place. Kalim somehow managed to escape the scene. Later, he was admitted to a hospital in Nagaon for medical assistance. Police have already launched an investigation into the case. No one has been arrested so far, police said.

Unidentified miscreants gunned down a man in-front-of his residence at Chapar in Assam’s Dhubri district in the evening of April 16th, 2019. The deceased has been identified as Raben Roy. Roy was a doctor by profession, as per the information. As per information, the incident took place near the Ratnapith College, Chapar.

“Miscreants fired four bullets out of which two bullets hurt him and he died on the spot,” police said. However, police have launched an investigation into the case. The incident just ahead of the polling date raised the eyebrows of the people. The polling for the Lok Sabha election will be held in Dhubri on April 23rd, 2019.
