Missing Boy found in Assam after Family took it to Social Media
GUWAHATI: Karimganj Police in Assam managed to track down a 17-year boy after the family took it to social media and criticised police’s inaction.
Though the family of one Anurag Suklabaidya who went missing on April 5 allegedly did not receive any police action initially, police rescued the missing boy on Monday evening; two days after the victim’s sister, Arpita, took it to Twitter and expressed her anger over no police action then.
She tweeted: “It’s been more than a week and my brother Anurag, is still missing. Not getting proper response from Karimganj Police.”
Friends of the victim’s family also suspected that Anurag might have been influenced by some unknown and was frightened that he might have fallen in the clutches of human trafficking.
They said that he did not have a single penny on him while went missing.
On Wednesday, Arpita once again took it to social media and informed that her brother was found. However, she refused to share details about his whereabouts so far and said that an investigation was on.
