‘Mission Ramdhenu’ scheme launched by Assam’s health minister

GUWAHATI: Assam health minister Keshab Mahanta formally inaugurated the ‘Mission Ramdhenu’ scheme at Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH) Guwahati.

The launched scheme will look after the immunization drive for children below 2 years and expectant women across Assam.

The main reason behind the launch of the scheme is to make sure that children and pregnant women get fully immunized.

As many as 1 lakh beneficiaries will get vaccinated under this scheme, confirmed the health minister. The inoculation process will happen from 7th to 13th for the months of July, August and September.

Mahanta stated that overall 4,741 centers that cover medical college and hospitals and sub-health centers have received vaccines on Wednesday.
