    Mizoram: Heroin worth over Rs 57 lakh recovered; 2 arrested

    Guwahati: In a joint operation by troopers of Aizawl Battalion of Assam Rifles and Mizoram Excise and Narcotics Department, heroin worth over Rs 57 lakh has been seized from Bawngkawn area in Aizawl.

    Weighing around 128 grams, the seized heroin carries a market value of Rs 57,60,000.

    However, two accused have also been arrested by the Assam rifles troopers in connection with the seizure.

    Reportedly, there have been many recoveries of ongoing smuggling of drugs along the Indo-Myanmar border in recent times.
