When the results came out, Lalrinnungi after seeing her marks started crying because she felt “so great”. “My parents told me that I shouldn’t let the success get to my head and continue working hard,” she told media persons. For her board exams, Lalrinnungi studied for one hour in the morning (5:30 am to 6:30 am) and then later in the evening from 6 pm onwards. “I would study till about midnight,” she said.
Lalrinnungi appeared for her HSLC exams from the St Joseph Higher Secondary School and she will continue her further studies in the school. Post her results, the school authorities have announced that they will waive off her tuition and boarding fees for the next two academic terms.
The topper will now be felicitated for her success by the Mizo Zirlai Pawl on May 8th, 2019 along with nine other students who secured the top 10 positions in the examination.
