Modi Ji’s Vision of ‘A for Assam’ Is Reaching New Heights: Sarbananda Sonowal

As the Sarbananda Sonowal led Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) government completed its three years term in the state of Assam on May 24th, 2019 the Chief Minister expressed gratitude and asserted to carry on the journey forward under the supervision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Chief Minister further added that “Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘A for Assam’ is touching uncharted heights”.

“3 yrs ago, we began our journey of #Paribartan with blessings of people of Assam. Led by PM @narendramodi ji’s vision of ‘A for Assam’, the State today is touching uncharted heights, fulfilling our promises. I thank all & seek support to carry forward this journey of growth,” Sonowal wrote on his Twitter handle.

It may be mentioned that the 2016 election to the 126-membered unicameral Assam Legislative Assembly was held in two phases, on April 4th and April 11th, 2016. Sonowal was sworn in as the 14th Chief Minister of Assam on May 24th, 2016.

After BJP’s thumping victory in the Lok Sabha Elections which swept most parts of India, Sonowal on May 23rd, 2019 congratulating the BJP karyakartas and the supporters, said that he will follow the footsteps of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to form a government in the state. He further congratulated him on behalf of the people of Assam.

It may be mentioned that the BJP-led NDA is the second government to return to power in Indian political history with such a massive win.
