The former MP from Arunachal Pradesh and Congress leader Takam Sanjoy on February 8th, 2019 slammed the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government over his visit to the state to inaugurate several projects on February 9th, 2019. The Congress leader said Modi has been trying to claim the credit for the projects completed by UPA government during its regime.

“The PM has been trying to claim the credit by inaugurating the Tezu airport which was completed during the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) regime. On moral grounds, he (Modi) cannot claim credit for that project,” Sanjoy said.

Besides, launching a blistering attack on Modi over the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, the former MP said, “As many as 10,000 people will wave black flag and release black balloons to register their protest against his (Modi) government’s attempt to implement the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill which would jeopardize the identity of the indigenous people of the entire Northeast region.” He further termed the Bill as ‘unconstitutional’.
