President Ram Nath Kovind will administer the oath of office and secrecy to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his council of ministers at 7 pm on May 30th, 2019. On May 25th, 2019, President Kovind had appointed Modi as Prime Minister.
Modi along with the leaders of the 40-member national coalition NDA met the President and staked a claim to form a government at the Centre. Members of Union Council of Ministers will also take the oath.

The Bharatiya Janata Party is likely to organise the ceremony on an even bigger scale than the 2014 oath-taking ceremony. As per media reports, the leaders US, Russia, UK, France, China, Japan, Germany, Israel, Saudi Arabia, UAE and members of the BIMSTEC group are likely to be invited.
Presidents of the US, Russia, China and Sri Lanka — Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping and Maithripala Sirisena – are some of the world leaders who are likely to be invited.

Addressing newly-elected MPs in Parliament central hall on May 25th, 2019, Modi said his government will leave no stone unturned to fulfill the aspirations of the people.
The BJP won a total of 351 seats in the 542-seat Lok Sabha this year. In Assam, the party surpassed the 2014 tally and registered the highest-ever tally in the state of Assam by winning nine out of the 14 seats.
