With the onset of the monsoon season, more rainfall is reported to lash parts of the Northeastern(NE) states in the coming days under the attribution of the weather systems and influence of two cyclonic circulations.

As per the Skymet Weather light to moderate rain coupled with heavy showers have occurred in most places of Northeast states. In the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall was recorded in Kohima followed by Agartala and Silchar (Assam) and more rainfall with thundershowers will continue in many parts of Northeast(NE).

The cyclonic circulations have reportedly entered the NE region on Saturday and have lead to an atmospheric instability in the region causing widespread rainfall. The influence will continue to bring instability over the region and is likely to weaken from Monday.
