Guwahati: The Morigaon police on Friday arrested two more people with alleged links with Bangladeshi terror outfit ‘Ansarullah Bangla’.

The police have detained Ahmed Ali, the absconding ‘Imam’ of Noor Masjid in Milanpur and Ziarul Haque of Bhoragaon in the Falihamari area under the Morigaon district.

It has been learned that ‘Imam’ Ahmed Ali was absconding since July 29, 2022.

Based on a tip-off, the police on Friday conducted a raid and arrested both the suspects from a special place in Bhoragaon.

‘Imam’ Ahmed Ali of Noor Masjid was in touch with arrested Islamic cleric Mufti Mustafa and absconding Abu Tallah (Ansarullah Bangla Team Head), the police said.

It has also come to light during the investigation that Ahmed Ali earlier had arranged a rented house for Abu Tallah in Milanpur.
