Murder mystery of Manipur youth in Bangalore, NSUB extends support

Guwahati, December 1: Following the death of a Manipur youth, Sayao Ngasainao(23), who was recovered near a three-storied building in East Bengaluru, on August 30, the Naga Students’Union Bangalore(NSUB) calls for expediting the investigation process.

A release issued by the NSUB on Friday stated that although an FIR for murder was filed by one of the students’ union the police had closed the case stating it to be a suicide, which led the students’ union to file another FIR.

The NSUB further informed that a memorandum was also submitted to the Chief Minister of Manipur regarding the issue where an official was deputed in Bangalore in the month of October for investigation.

“Looking at the report a case was registered under  SC and ST(Prevention of atrocities act). Right now, the cops are collecting all the phone call details of all friends. Friends and families are still waiting for Forensic report which approximately takes up to 90 days to get the report.” The release read.

The NSUB further informed that the union has formed a committee to expedite the investigation of the murder case, where a Memorandum has also been submitted to the Nodal officer DGP Borahlingaiya.
