Naga issue will be resolved soon: President Kovind

Kohima, December 2: During the inauguration of Hornbill festival in Kohima, President Ram Nath Kovind assured the people of the State that the Naga issue will be resolved soon and all the efforts will be taken by the government to ensure peace and tranquility in the State.

President said that a fair and judicious approach will be adopted by the central government which will be beneficial for everyone concerned and will stabilize the situation in the region.

Kovind praised the rich history of Nagaland and their patience while fighting for so long. He said it is great that currently there is no political opposition in Nagaland which provides centre an opportunity to work freely for the development of the state and taking new initiatives to bring more institutions and stakeholders to the State.

He further said that BJP at the centre will create job opportunities for the youths in the State and he assured the people of the Nagaland that central government will fulfill all its the long standing demands and resolve age old problems for which Nagaland is fighting for so long.

In respect to road condition and infrastructure, President said that Nagaland roads will be improved very soon and the same will be connected with other States to promote the trade and business of the state.
