GUWAHATI: NorthEast United Football Club (NEUFC) sacked its Spanish head coach Gerard Nus on Wednesday.
The Club has decided to part ways with the Spanish National after taking into consideration a contrast in the team’s current tactics and the Club’s philosophy and vision.
NEUFC: Khalid Jamil has been appointed as the new interim head coach for the remainder of the current season.
“The Club would like to thank Mr Nus for his hard work and commitment during his time at NorthEast United and wish him the best for all his future endeavors,” an official statement from the Club said.
Nus was the second manager to be let go this season. Last week, Bengaluru FC had parted ways with Carles Cuadrat.
Northeast United has not succeeded to score a win after its last winning game against SC East Bengal on December 5 last year.
