It’s almost that time of the year again when the rich culture and tradition of the Galo community will be celebrated in Arunachal Pradesh.

Yes, the Basar confluence (BASCON) 2019 organized by the Gumin Rego Kilaju (GRK) will be held from December 1st, 2019 to December 4th, 2019.

The Basar confluence is for those who love adventure and exploring deep-rooted traditions and rich culture of tribes in Arunachal Pradesh. The festival also celebrates the age-old relationship with Earth that the Galo community have since time immemorial.

The 4-day confluence will have a series of events which will include, a carnival of different tribes of the state, trekking and nature trails, folk presentation of different tribes of the state, community fishing using traditional methods at the Ego valley, inter-village traditional sports competitions, Galo folk presentations, etc.

The Arunachal Pradesh tourism department tweeted the dates of the Confluence and welcomed people to discover the culture, deep-rooted tradition and the age-old relationship with the Earth.

So, pack your bags and get ready to enjoy the lifestyle of the Galo community in an authentic Galo village in Arunachal Pradesh.
