    Bhaichung Bhutia Joins Air Warriors At Shillong As Eastern Air Command Celebrates Diamond Jubilee

    Bhaichung Bhutia mentioned that the Subroto Mukherjee Football tournament organised by the IAF proved to be the stepping stone in his career in football

    Former footballer and Hamro Sikkim Party leader, Bhaichung Bhutia enjoyed time with the air warriors as a Bara Khana (community lunch) for the Indian Air Force (IAF) officials and families was organised on November 16th, 2019.

    The Eastern Air Command is commemorating its diamond jubilee this year through a series of events.  Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C) of the Eastern Air Command (EAC) of IAF in Shillong welcomed chief guest Bhutia for the community lunch.

    Bhutia in his address thanked the IAF for the services extended during the natural calamities.  He further mentioned how the Subroto Mukherjee Football tournament organised by the IAF proved to be the stepping stone in his career in football. 

    The event witnessed enthusiastic participation by air warriors and their families and furthered the camaraderie and bonhomie among all the ranks of IAF.
