The National People’s Party (NPP)’s candidate for Tura constituency of Meghalaya state, Agatha Sangma is leading in the ballot battle leaving behind the veteran political leader and former chief minister of the state Mukul Sangma with a margin of 7056 votes.

The Tura constituency has 24 LAC segments – Kharkutta, Mendipathar, Resubelpara, Bajengdoba, Songsak, Rongjeng, William Nagar, Raksamgre, Tikrikila, Phulbari, Rajabala, Selsella, Dadenggre, North Tura, South Tura, Rangsakona, Ampati, Mahendraganj, Salmanpara, Gambegre, Dalu, Rongara-Siju, Chokpot and Baghmara.
