Corruption Slur On Assam Cricket Association, 4-Member Panel Formed To Investigate

Even after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) formed government in the state on ‘zero-tolerance against corruption’ slogan, large scale corruption in various government departments are still allegedly in practice.

This time, once again allegations of large scale corruption slur over the Assam Cricket Association (ACA), which is affiliated to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The association on April 28th, 2019 alleged that a Rs 62 crore scam took place in the association during the tenure of former general secretary of the association Pradip Burhagohain.

The association has formed a four-member panel to investigate the issue and asked the penal to submit the report within the next two months.

It may be mentioned that the association has faced flak over alleged allegations of corruption earlier also.
