Guwahati: The capital city of Guwahati may see a slight relaxation in its curfew hours from Wednesday as a fresh set of standard operating procedure (SOP) for COVID-19 management in the state would be out on Tuesday.
Official sources said that there were possibilities of a relaxation in curfew hours across the state as the pandemic situation believed to be improving slowly.
While there was a possibility that curfew hours in Guwahati may start from 6 PM, the total lockdown imposed in five districts of Jorhat, Golaghat, Sonitpur, Lakhimpur and Biswanath might be relaxed too.
Sources added that in these five districts, the curfew hours likely to be imposed from 12 noon.
However, inter district transportation likely to be discontinued once again.
Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the SOP would be issued on Tuesday On Monday, a total 1528 fresh cases of Covid 19 positive were recorded in the state with a .92 positivity rate. The capital city registered 199 cases while a total 26 persons died.
