Guwahati, October 24: The Singapore Changi Airport on Tuesday announced of launching the first ever non-stop service between Guwahati and Singapore to be operated by the Drukair Royal Bhutan Airlines.
With its announcement Singapore gets linked to the sixteenth Indian city and the first connection between North-East India and Singapore.
Since September 29 the Drukair airlines has been commencing its bi-weekly flights between Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (Guwahati) and Changi International Airport(Singapore).
The flight is expected to bring down the travelling time from 10 hours to 4 hours and 30 minutes.
In the past 12 months, India has become Singapore airport’s sixth largest market, with than 4.5 million passenger movements.
