For the first time ever, the glitzy and glamourous Filmfare Awards is likely to be held in Guwahati in February next year. Since it’s inception, the gala event has been held in Mumbai.
As per several media reports, the Assam Tourism Development Corporation will seal the deal with The Times of India Group, the organizer of the awards ceremony next week.
The 65th edition of the awards show, which will be attended by who’s who of Bollywood, is likely to be held at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium at Amingaon.
The Filmfare Awards are a set of awards that honour artistic and technical excellence in the Hindi-language film industry of the country, aka Bollywood. The Filmfare Awards were first introduced in 1954 and are voted on by both the public and a committee of experts.
