Gangtok, January 1: Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Kumar Chamling extended his New Year greetings and asked the people of the state to uphold the hard-earned peace, goodwill, security and freedom that prevails in the state.
He also urged the people to make Sikkim the most developed, wealthy, happy and prosperous state.
Chamling said, “May Sikkim be kept from destruction, unrest and hatred from racial, communal and religious differences. I am happy with the world-class performance of the government which must be leveraged to take Sikkim’s name, fame and glory across the globe next year.”
He also added that the state has been free from the clutches of poverty, hunger, illiteracy and unemployment.
