Petrol Pump Workers Go ‘Desi’ In Lakhimpur, Win Hearts Of Customers

Lakhimpur, April 16, 2019

The petrol pump employees in Narayanpur of Lakhimpur district of Assam were seen dressed in traditional Assamese attire on the occasion of Rongali Bihu.

The employees of the petrol station were seen refilling the vehicles of the customers donned in traditional dhoti, suria (vest) and Axomiya Gamusa. The customers also appreciated and lauded the initiative of the employees.

“It’s good to see the workers in our Axomiya attire as most of the workers hail from North India including other parts of the country,” said a local.

The people of Assam are celebrating Rongali Bihu, also known as Bohag Bihu, a festival that marks the beginning of a new year for the Assamese.
