Guwahati, January 6: The Sarbananda Sonowal ministry is likely to be expanded after Magh Bihu this year, hinted the State President of BJP, Ranjit Kumar Das. The subject of cabinet expansion of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led alliance government has once again come up—an issue that has been delayed past one and a half year.
Reportedly, the topic of cabinet expansion has been discussed with CM Sarbananda Sonowal, confirms Ranjit Kumar Das, which has been further conveyed to the BJP President Amit Shah. In this view, it could be expected that January might welcome this cabinet expansion.
2017 could be marked as the year for BJP in building a strong foundation across the state and in displaying its connection with the people, states the BJP State President Ranjit Kumar Das, while hoping for 2018 to strengthen the faith of the people in the party. Although BJP had announced the expansion in varied occasions, no expansion has been witnessed so far. The much-awaited Cabinet expansion, in this vein, expected to take place in January this year, might bring a new ray of hope to the people.
