A farmer’s twin children in Assam’s Barpeta brought laurels to the Gyan Jyoti Jatiya Vidyalaya and also to their village by clearing the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination 2019 with outstanding performance.
The twin brothers – Rafiqul Islam and Safiqul Islam scored 92 per cent and 85.19 per cent respectively.
Their father – Hasmat Ali is a farmer and somehow managed to provide essential facilities to both the sons to prepare for the HSLC examination, Rafiqul Islam told TIME8.
Both of them expressed their wishes to continue their education in the Science stream with an aim to be a good doctor in future.
The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) on May 15th, 2019 declared the HSLC 2019 result. The pass percentage is 60.23.
The Class 10 examinations concluded on March 6th, 2019 in which a total of 3,36,203 students appeared for HSLC examination and 9,127 for Assam High Madrassa examination at 857 examination centres across the State.
