As the number of positive coronavirus cases has been rapidly increasing across the globe, the Publication Board Assam deferred the 33rd Guwahati Book Fair. The decision was announced on March 8th, 2020.
The Book Fair was supposed to be held from March 14th to March 25th, 2020 at the Assam Engineering Institute playground at Chandmari in Guwahati.
