    Drugs Recovered From Businessman Rajesh Himatsingka’s Guwahati Residence

    Rajesh Himatsingka and his driver Shatrugna Kanti have been asked to be present at the CID headquarters in Ulubari today

    Guwahati-based industrialist and infamous businessman Rajesh Himatsingka is under the police radar after a total of 38 containers of heroin was seized from his residence on September 9th, 2019.

    As per reports, acting on a tip-off the Bhangagarh police along with the sleuths of Crime Investigation Department(CID) carried a joint operation in the residence of Himatsingka located in Kamakhya nagar of Bhangagarh area of Guwahati and seized the drugs.

    Meanwhile, the CID officials have asked Himatsingka and his driver identified as Shatrugna Kanti to be present in the CID Assam headquarters in Ulubari area of the city at around 11 am on September 10th, 2019.

    It may be mentioned that Himatsingka who is the chairman and managing director of Himatsingka Group of Companies has been arrested several times for many fraud cases in the past.

    Recently he was arrested by the police in connection with a firing incident at his residence at the Amsoi Tea Estate. The woman who was reported to be an employee of the state irrigation department had sustained bullet injuries.
