The locals of Longding district in the Northeastern-most-state Arunachal Pradesh on February 11th, 2019 accused the local legislator Thangwang Wangham, who won 2014 election on the Bharatiya Janata Party’s ticket, of using ‘black magic’ to garner votes.

Ahead of the Lok Sabha election 2019, the locals alleged that the MLA had inhumed materials used in black magic in-front-of the polling booths in the 59 No Longding Legislative Constituency to swing the votes in his favour.

To add more to it, the villagers further alleged that the people are suffering from ‘unknown disease’ due to the practice of black magic by the MLA. “The King of the Pamua Basti died due to unidentified disease. He (Wangham) won the votes but people are suffering due to his black magic,” said a local.

The locals also claimed that they have exhumed black magic materials from various places under the constituency.
