    School Students To Form Human Chain Against Corruption In Guwahati On Oct 30

    The human chain will be formed as part of the countrywide celebration of the Vigilance Awareness Week

    With a view to create mass awareness against corruption, students of various schools in Guwahati will form a human chain across the city on October 30th, 2019. The chain will be formed as part of the countrywide celebration of the Vigilance Awareness Week.

    The programme, which was started in Guwahati on October 28th, 2019, will continue to November 2nd, 2019. The programme has been organised by the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Assam in cooperation with the Chief Minister’s Special Vigilance Cell. The theme of the week is ‘Integrity- A Way of Life’.

    The Superintendent of Police, Directorate of Vigilance and Anti- Corruption said that a human chain by the school children against corruption will be formed in the city on October 30th, 2019. A press communiqué issued by the SP reads as, “On 30th October, 2019, a ‘Human Chain’ against corruption by school children, has been planned  all over Guwahati city, where the students shall display Placards and banners carrying the pictures and slogans, on the theme and taking of integrity pledge by school children too.”

    Moreover, the directorate has distributed sample posters to all deputy commissioners and SPs for wide publicity. An SMS campaign on Anti-Corruption issues in liaison with the Mobile Service Providers will also be conducted.

    The directorate appealed the participation and cooperation of the people to disseminate the message against corruption.
