As per the press communiqué issued by the NFR Chief Public Relation officer Pranav Jyoti Sharma, one second class coach will be added in 12068/12067 Guwahati-Jorhat Town Jan Shatabdi Express, 55752/55726 New Jalpaiguri-Alipurduar Jn Passenger, 55753/55754 Alipurduar  Guwahati Passenger, 15717/15718 Guwahati-Marlani Passenger, 55820/55819 Guwahati-Mendipathar passenger from July 17th to 24th, 2019.

On the other hand, two second class coaches will be added in 15928/15927 New Tinsukia- Rangiya Express on July 17th, 20th, 21st, 23rd and 24th, 2019 from New Tinsukia and on July 19th, 20th, 22nd and 23rd, 2019 from Rangiya while 15968/15967 Dibrugarh-Rangiya Express on July 18th, 19th and 22nd, 2019 from Dibrugarh and on July 17th, 18th, 21st and 24th, 2019 from Rangiya.
It may be mentioned that a total of 5,259,142 people and 2,344,258 animals across 30 out of 33 districts in Assam have been affected so far as per the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) report. According to official data, five people have died in the flood this year so far while 37 animals have been washed away.
The central government on July 16th, 2019 released Rs 251.55 crore as assistance from the central share of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) for 2019-20 as the ravaging flood in Assam continued to deteriorate.
