Panbazar Police has issued an advisory for the city revellers in a bid to celebrate Diwali in a safe and environment-friendly manner.

The authorities have informed and requested all to abide by the rules and guidelines during the time of celebration of Deepawali and Chhath Puja.

Earlier an advisory from the district administration stated that the purchase of fireworks should be done from only licensed shops and the safety precautions on it should be followed.

1) Prohibition of high-intensity crackers.

2) Installation of fire-extinguisher, fire safety tools in busy areas as a precautionary measure.

3) Entertainment of crackers must be restricted or limited up to 10 PM.

4) Entertainment of crackers must not be performed on any public road.

6) Drinking is strictly prohibited inside Puja Pandals or any mass gathering areas, as well as drunken driving, must be avoided to minimize any emergency.

7) Each Kali Puja Committee should deploy their own volunteers during the time of celebration of Kali Puja and Chhath Puja.

8) Betting & Gambling is strictly prohibited in an around the locality during celebration of Puja and Deepawali.

In case of any emergency, call immediately to local Police or District Disaster Management Authority or simply Dial-100.
