Guwahati: At a time when both state and central universities are postponing the Post Graduation examinations in Assam, the Gauhati University has decided to conduct the PG first semester examinations as per time schedule.
However, candidates who are not able to appear in the examinations are being asked to inform the Controller of Examinations, Gauhati University through the concerned Principal/HoD for further course of action, a notification stated.
The notification also mentioned that the second phase of the examination may be conducted for the students who are not able to appear in the examinations at a convenient time.
It is noteworthy to mention that amidst the surge in COVID-19 cases in Assam, Dibrugarh University has already deferred the postgraduate examinations that were slated to be held on April 19 and 20.
Similarly, in a notification on Saturday, the administration of the Tezpur University (TU) campus has also asked all the PG/UG students except the final year and Ph. D. students to leave the campus on or before April 23.
