    NorthEast United FC signs Guinean international Idrissa Sylla

    Idrissa had a spell in France with Bastia and in England with Queens Park Rangers, where he was the top scorer for the club in his first season

    GUWAHATI: The NorthEast United FC (NEUFC) in yet another addition announced the signing of Guinean striker Idrissa Sylla ahead of Season 7 of the Indian Super League (ISL).

    Idrissa Sylla joined the highlanders club from Zulte Waregem in the Belgian League, where he also represented clubs such as Le Mans, Anderlecht and Oostende.

    An active international for the Guinean National Team, Idrissa has netted 5 times for his country in 27 appearances. A striker, Idrissa is an aerial threat and has been a proven goal scorer throughout his career.

    Idrissa had a spell in France with Bastia and in England with Queens Park Rangers, where he was the top scorer for the club in his first season.

    The footballer said that this was his first move to Asia and intrigued to experience the sport in this part of the world.
