Guwahati:  In an unfortunate incident, one person was killed and several others were injured in a road accident in Assam’s Morigaon on Friday.

The incident took place at Dharamtul in Jagiroad, when a speeding vehicle lost control and rammed into a roadside shelter.

Following the accident, one person killed and seven others injured, said sources.

The deceased has been identified as Bubu Das (25).

According to sources, the victims were flood affected people who were seeking shelter in the roadside shack.

Police reached the spot and immediately taken the injured to Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
