    Picturesque Arunachal Pradesh Amazes Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui

    Khandu also took to Twitter to thank the Bollywood star for gracing the Reh celebrations.

    Critically acclaimed actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui is smitten by the natural beauty of ‘Land of the dawn-lit mountains’ – Arunachal Pradesh – so much so that he promised to shoot his next film in the state.

    The Sacred Games fame actor joined the 52nd Reh festival celebrations of the Mishmi community at Anini in Dibang Valley district on February 3rd, 2020. The festival is observed to seek the prosperity of family and loved ones. The actor was joined by Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu.

    Siddiqui shared that he came to know about state and its pristine beauty by following the tweets of Khandu. The Gangs of Wasseypur actor travelled by road from Dibrugarh, Assam to reach Anini.

    He credited Chief Minister Khandu for extensively promoting the beauty of Arunachal Pradesh through his twitter handle. He said he never knew the scenic beauty of Arunachal Pradesh till he started following the tweets of the chief minister.

    The actor said that his next film was planned to be shot in Garhwal, Uttarakhand. But after following Khandu’s tweet on the natural beauty and colourful tribes of the state, the decision was changed and the film’s location was shifted to Arunachal Pradesh.

    Khandu also took to Twitter to thank the Bollywood star for gracing the Reh celebrations. Reh is one of the most important festivals of the Idu Mishmis.

    The Manto actor also appealed the people to upheld their tradition and culture as it’s their identity. He also mentioned that his tiredness due to 12-14 hours journey from Dibrugarh to Anini “vanished” after seeing the “glowing faces of the Arunachalees”.
