    Police Constable Allegedly Shoots Self In Assam

    The reason behind the havildar’s suicide is believed to be a family dispute

    A police constable allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself in Hojai district of Assam on February 7th, 2020

    The police personnel Havildar Golap Bora allegedly shot him with his service carbine rifle. The incident reportedly took place at few meters from the Hojai District Superintendent office.

    His colleagues rushed to the spot seconds after they heard the gunshots and spotted him with serious injuries. Although he was admitted to a nearby hospital, he was declared dead by the doctors.

    The police informed that they have recovered two blank cartridges and further investigations are underway.

    The reason behind the havildar’s suicide is believed to be a family dispute.
