    Pre-Matric scholarship fund embezzlement: Two prime accused arrested

    Both the accused were absconding ever since the pre-matric scholarship fund embezzlement came into light.

    Guwahati: The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Friday has arrested two prime accused in connections with the pre-matric scholarship fund embezzlement.

    One of the prime accused arrested was identified as Sukumuddin (29) from Chaygaon is owner of Customer Service Point (CSP) of Bank of Baroda located in Chaygaon, Assam.

    Another accused namely Yusuf Ali (29) from Goalpara district was apprehended by Moroni police station and has been handed over to CID. He is the owner of CSP (SBI) located at Nepalikhuti in Goalpara district of Assam.

    Both the accused were absconding ever since the pre-matric scholarship fund embezzlement came into light.

    Meanwhile, 24 persons have been arrested in connection with the case.
