    Prohibitory Orders Promulgated In Sivasagar

    Any violation of this order will be punishable under Section 188 IPC

    Keeping in view of the law and order situation, Deputy Commissioner of Sivasagar MS Lakshmi Priya vide an order issued on October 23rd, 2019 has imposed prohibitory orders under Section 144 CrPC with immediate effect until further orders.

    As per the order, financial collection(chanda), forceful subscription, donations, roadside collection, extortion in any manner from any person, business establishments, office or intimidation of such kind by any person or organization for such collection have been strictly prohibited in the entire district.

    The order has been imposed anticipating a breach of public peace and tranquility owing to various reasons including an unauthorized collection of money endangering the safety of public life and property.

    Any violation of this order will be punishable under Section 188 IPC.
