Puja pandal and four shops gutted in fire in Tripura

Agartala: In a bizarre incident, four shops along with Durga Puja pandal were ablaze on the midnight of Tuesday at Maracherra market in Dhalai district of Tripura.
Locals immediately informed Fire station in Kamalpur. Fire tenders rushed to the spot and brought it under control.
It is reported that the damage was estimated at Rs. 16 lakh. However, the source of the fire is not known.
Late at night, a total of four shops, including the Durga Puja pandal of the Maracherra Bazar Committee in Kamalpur, were gutted by fire.
On hearing the news of the incident on Wednesday morning, Kamalpur sub-divisional police officer Sabyasachi Debnath along with Kamalpur police and a large CRPF force rushed to the market.
The incident is being investigated by the police.
