    Python guards Assam MLA Mrinal Saikia’s residence

    Mrinal Saikia also revealed that the python has been with him for 18 months and now has become his pet. However, it sometimes does attack the chickens in his house

    GUWAHATI: In an anomalous incident, a python is seen guarding the residence of Assam MLA Mrinal Saikia.

    Saikia took Twitter to share about his new found guard who shares seat with the MLA in his residence.

    He wrote: “I have a Python in my house campus which sometimes sit beside me, sometimes sit on my chair majestically and sometimes guard my gate to the horror of my visitors. Nowadays he is busy in pre-winter hunting and I have not seen him for three days. Wish him happy hunting.”

    Replying to a comment in his tweet, Saikia also revealed that the python has been with him for 18 months and now has become his pet. However, it sometimes does attack the chickens in his house.

    Mrinal Saikia is an MLA from Khumtai constituency who has been in news with his good deeds.

    When flood created havoc in all over Assam, Mrinal Saikia swung into action to help the needy. He cooked food items, carried in boats and distributed himself to many marooned people.
