Guwahati: At a time when the 70 indigenous groups have announced to snap their ties with Raijor Dal and Akhil Gogoi, the party without anticipating much about the decision; rather claimed that this will make them much stronger in the coming days.

Addressing a press conference here in Guwahati, Raijor Dal, working president, Bhasco D Saikia said, “The persons who had decided to quit from the party were inactive for a long period of time. We thank them for snapping their ties with us. This decision won’t harm us in any way; rather it will make us much stronger in days to come. They conspired against the party and put everyone in danger.”

Saikia also claimed that as per the list, a section of members out of those who had decided to quit had already been expelled from the party earlier. Moreover, there were some self-proclaimed leaders making derogatory remarks against Raijor Dal on several occasions, those were the negatively influenced people in the party, thus, no harm we see if they snap ties with Raijor Dal, this won’t affect us, he said.

“People of Assam know very well how Raijor Dal is working for its people. They know how Akhil Gogoi is working for its people. Therefore, I don’t want to comment or react to the allegations made by those self-styled leaders,” added Bhasco D Saikia.

Terming the 70 organizations as inconvenient and harmful, Saikia said. “Those 70 organizations that were a part of us during the formation of Raijor Dal were very inconvenient and harmful to the party. If there is anyone else who wants to quit can leave us any moment, we don’t mind.”

Furthermore, Saikia also mentioned that doors are open for Congress for an alliance.

It may also be mentioned that the 70 indigenous groups have decided to snap their ties with Raijor Dal after the groups claimed that Gogoi’s party has failed to deliver and represent the people’s sentiments and issues in the state assembly house.
