Rajkummar Rao-Bhumi Pednekar’s 'Badhai Do' trailer is highly buzzing online. Here’s why

Guwahati: The trailer of Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar’s ‘Badhaai Do’ has been causing quite a buzz online since its release.

People are praising the film’s progressive attitude, which is apparently about same-sex partnerships.

While both actors have won millions of hearts with their flawless acting talents and outstanding body of work, fans are in for a treat as Rajkummar and Bhumi are set to share the screen for the first time in Badhaai Do, one of the year’s most anticipated films.

While stories about the LGBTQ+ community have long been taboo in Bollywood, many unique scripts have recently been released in the mainstream with Badhaai Do appearing to be one of them.

Our two major characters, Rao, who plays a policeman, and Pednekar, who plays a PT teacher, are presented in the trailer.

Interestingly, despite being partnered opposite each other, there is no love connection between them, since Pednekar’s character appears to have a romantic proclivity for women rather than men or marriage.

Due to their families’ insistence that they two decide to marry and live together as roommates instead, merely to get their parents off their backs.

The trailer, which is full of humour and laughter, also appears to hint to the possibility that Rao’s character is interested in a same-sex relationship.

While fans impatiently await the release of the film, the makers of Badhaai Do have finally released the trailer, which has the town buzzing. After the trailer released,  film has received positive reviews, social media has been flooded with responses applauding it.
