Guwahati: Maharastra Rebel Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde said he and his camp were ready for the floor test in the Maharastra assembly as they left the city on Wednesday evening. The leaders were residing in the city for last 10 days.
Earlier on the day, Shinde and his camp leaders who had visited the holy Kamakhya Temple here said that he would return to Mumbai on Thursday.
He said, “People of Maharastra are with us and we are ready for floor test tomorrow. We will reach Mumbai tomorrow and then will decide about our next step in a legislative party meeting.”
Though he categorically avoided answering where he and other MLAs were heading, sources claimed that a charter flight has been arranged for the leaders to leave Guwahati and was scheduled to take off on Wednesday evening.
The sources added that Shinde and others were on their way to Goa.
Shinde and another rebel Shiv Sen MLAs have been camping in a five start hotel in Guwahati for over a week now, and earlier a report came that the hotel was booked till June 30 for their stay.
A video of Shinde camp holding a meeting in the hotel where the entire group of rebel MLAs was present also surfaced on Wednesday.
