Guwahati: Titled “Off the Camera – With Naseeruddin Shah”, the event was held at a five start hotel here with the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awardee, Naseeruddin Shah on Tuesday.

This was EO (Entrepreneurs’ Organisation) Assam’s Grand Finale Learning event of the 2021-2022 year.  The event was moderated by the celebrated journalist Shoma Chaudary, the former managing editor and co-founder of Tehelka, an acclaimed investigative and public interest news magazine.

The event was organised exclusively for the members of EO (Entrepreneurs’ Organisation) Assam.  Members include leading entrepreneurs and industrialists of the North East including Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland and parts of West Bengal. The current EO Assam Chapter President is Vishal Goenka and the event was chaired by the current Learning Chairs of the Chapter, Amit Agarwal and Uday Raj Agarwal.

The Chapter President of EO Assam, Vishal Goenka, shared some thoughts of how Naseeruddin’s life relates to that of entrepreneurs.

“An invaluable lesson which he shared for entrepreneurs was perseverance and grit, an absolute must quality to survive in the movie industry.  How his strained relationship with his father pushed him to explore new and unconventional ways of communication, which is often also required in business. He also spoke about ‘Chance favors the Prepared Mind’ and that an entrepreneur should always be ready when an opportunity presents itself,” said Goenka.

The Learning Chairs of EO Assam, Amit Agarwal and Uday Raj Agarwal, highlighted the entire year during the event:

“As part of the Learning calendar of EO Assam for the year 2021-22, our chapter has invited – Anant Goenka (Managing Director, CEAT Tyres); Binod Chaudhary (Chairman, CG Corp & Nepal’s First Billionaire / Owner of the brand ‘Wai Wai’);  Aditya Ghosh (ex-CEO of Indigo Airlines and co-founder Akasa Air); Rajnish Kumar (ex-Chairman, SBI);  Jonty Rhodes (World renowned South African cricketer); and Papa CJ (India’s most famous stand-up Comedian). These are exclusive events for members and speakers share candidly their success secrets, struggles, failures, best practices amongst other life lessons. Chapter members draw inspiration and motivation from such events to further enhance their personal and professional growth.”

EO is a global non-profit organization founded in 1987 in the US.  The Assam Chapter was launched in September 2017 with 16 founding members.  The organisation has conducted several such learning events in the past, where prominent personalities from all over the world have been invited to share their personal and professional experiences.
