Sandeep Bhuyan murder case: 1 woman from Meghalaya held

Guwahati: One woman from Meghalaya has been detained by Assam police in connection with the Sandeep Bhuyan murder case on Thursday.

The detained woman has been identified as Jolen Nongthigiri, who hailed from Meghalaya.

The woman has been taken to Paltan Bazar police station for interrogation.

On Wednesday, the dead body of a youth from Majuli, who was missing from Guwahati for four days, was recovered in Meghalaya.

The deceased, Sandeep Bhuyan, was missing from November 21. He was working in a private company in Guwahati and stayed at a rented place near Sarumotoria.

According to his roommate, Sandeep went to office on Saturday and never returned room. He was upset since past days due to work pressure and was continuously on phone.
